Using SEO TO Grow Your Brand

SEO, or search-engine optimization is the key to growing your brand. SEO is how websites like Google are able to decipher your content and promote it to the world. When you perform a Google search, the websites that come up are related to what you searched, this is what SEO is used for. It can be used to drive traffic to your website or social platforms. But it may seem confusing or complicated at first. Here are some tips for maximizing the power of SEO for your brand.

  1. Use applicable keywords: If you have a streetwear brand, you want to make sure that you mention streetwear and clothing all over your site. Use it in descriptions, and most importantly, use it in your tags. You need to tell Google and other search engines what your website or social media page is for and what sort of content or products you make.

  2. Use Alt-Text and tags: Using alt-text and tags is important because Google cannot scan certain types of content. Google can read transcripts or any sort of text but it cannot decipher a video. This is why when you post a video, whether that be on TikTok or YouTube you need to use tags to tell the platform what your video is about. Treat tags like keywords, and make sure you mention anything applicable to the content of the video and your brand. Without this, Google does not know what to do with your video. The same is true for images.

  3. Check your analytics: Google will help drive traffic to your site if you use SEO correctly. Check your analytics to see what people are searching for and how they are ending up on your site. You want to prioritize what works and tweak what is not working. You can also use trends to find some keywords or tags you may be missing out on that can bring extra traffic to your page.

SEO is so important for getting traffic to your page. You need to optimize your website, social media pages, and content for search engines in order for them to promote your content correctly. Tell Google and other search engines what you and your brand is about through keywords and tags; and use analytics to find trends and figure out what is working.
